Ronald and Jayme Stewart, a young couple with a large dream, founded York Preparatory School. In September of 1969 York Preparatory School opened its doors to 158 students. From the beginning, the Stewarts were blessed with extraordinary teachers. Today, York Prep is one of the private school jewels in the New York City education panorama. There are 320 students with a faculty and administration of more than 60 professionals. Forty years have passed since its foundation, and the Stewarts still infuse the school with their energy.
Ronald and Jayme Stewart have special love for Chinese culture and they are among the first Americans who accepted Traditional Chinese Medicine as their choice for holistic wellness and health care. 20 years ago they founded Learning Annex, which organized lectures on Traditional Chinese Medicine and made TCM accessible to American society. Their generous help to CAM Land is an obvious evidence of what they have contributed to the spread of Chinese culture and medicine in American society.

Ming Jin CAM Land Chairman
Dr. Ming Jin graduated from the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine where she had studied 11 years for her Bachelor, Master and Ph.D. She is the first female PhD in Traditional Chinese Medicine in China. She has founded Ming Qi Natural Healthcare Center, Ming Qi Herbal Company and CAM Land since she came to the United States in 1990 and devoted herself to introducing Chinese culture and Traditional Chinese Medicine to the American society. From her 25-year experience in medicine and education, she formed her own educational philosophy that values both intellectual and physical development of children. She believes that successful educational concept should pay attention to students’ mental and physical wellness while they benefit from knowledge accumulation and arts nurture. She also believes that based on Chinese philosophy, Chinese Arts and Health Culture better represent Chinese culture than Chinese language. Thus, it is the best starting point for the world to know China. With its creative and unique educational model and concept, CAM Land serves as a new platform for communication of western and eastern education system.

Chunyu Cui CAM Land Executive Manager
Dr. Chunyu Cui was born in Shanghai, China. In 1982 he graduated from the Shanghai University after being presented with the Best Student Award in Shanghai City for three years. His teaching experience started here when he taught in the Shanghai University for five years. In 1987 he came to America as a visiting scholar sponsored by the Chinese government. In 1990 he earned his MBA degree at Baruch College and in 2001 he received his PhD of Oriental Medicine from the American Global University. He has been managing Ming Qi Inc. since its establishment and has been working on the advertising, staffing and finance matters for CAM Land. His hope is to grow along with CAM Land and to turn this into a successful, thriving business.

Qiawen Jin CAM Land Dean of Students
Qiawen Jin graduated from Shanghai International Studies University in 2008. Her field of concentration in Teachers College, Columbia University is bilingual education and intercultural communication. During her study in Shanghai, she worked as an interpreter in Consulate General of Ukraine. She has taken part in a lot of international events such as World Special Olympic Games, Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit and so on. She was the minister of new department of SISU (Shanghai International Studies University) Foreign Language Radio Station and hostess of English news. Her hope is to contribute to intercultural communication and the dissemination of Chinese culture in the world.

Li Xie Program Director of CAM-Cultural Land
Li Xie graduated from New York University with Master Degree in childhood education. She is a New York State licensed teacher. During her experience in childhood education, she approached to develop children’s intelligence and personality by following traditional Chinese education philosophy. She insists on promoting mental and physical wellness as a unique education model for children. She teaches Chinese classics as well as Chinese language at CAM Land.

Angie Cui CAM Land Children’s Activities Consultant
Angie Cui was born on February 3rd, 1998. She is an 11 year old girl with dreams of making the educational world more suitable for children. Angie attends the Dalton School and is a student body representative in her grade. In October 2008, she held her own art exhibition in Red Yellow Blue Arts Center. In her position at CAM Land, she hopes to make the learning process more entertaining for our students. | |
